DAY 6: NEW ORLEANS

We love New Orleans. We walked around and around the French Quarter today and met a number of lovely people. Perhaps for that reason, we stopped taking quite so many pictures. It's been raining on and off all day--we ducked into a cookbook store this morning (with Artie) and didn't leave until we had two cookbooks and a map of the quarter that the owners of the store marked up with dog friendly bars and shops.

Here's a picture of Kamran playing pool very badly at one of those bars. Artie was FASCINATED by pool, which he's never seen before, apparently. He kept running around the table, sticking his nose into the slot where the cue ball appeared whenever one of us scratched (which happened often). He whined, and even gave one loud bark.

tonight we dined at emeril's restaurant nola. johanna was relieved that kamran did not exclaim "bam!" nearly as frequently as he had threatened to.
